Gilders Cushion

Description

A gilder’s cushion (sometimes called a gilder’s pad) is an essential tool for any gilder working with loose genuine gold leaf, silver leaf or any other precious metal leaf. The chamois leather surface of the cushion provides a soft surface to rest leaf on before cutting and shaping it, while the integral, foldable windshield helps shield the leaf from any drafts or air currents that might blow it away. Leather straps on the underneath allow you to hold the cushion similarly to an artists palette.
